So, I'm back. No promises, though. I just came into blogger to see if another blog name I've been thinking about (and wanting for a little while now) was available. It was. (Yay!) So, now I have (like, I think) five blogs or something. I haven't kept up any of them... but here's a new post for this one. :-)
It's been, well, over (and well over) a year -- closer to two -- since I posted something here but I guess there's no time like the present, eh? The older I get, the more I realize the present may be all there ever is. *sigh*
Okay, so my new blog is called "Alz in the Family" and it describes the day to day 'stuff' of having a family member who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be a big hush-hush secret (at least my dad would like it to be) but two things are true: 1) I'm really tired of all the secrecy, shame, and...yep, I'm gonna say it... lying that goes on in my family (well, THIS one of my families) and 2) NOBODY who meets my mother will have even the slightest doubt that she has Alzheimer's Disease.
Now, it's true that I could get myself in a lot of trouble for 'libel' if it wasn't true. But, since it IS true... I'll deal with the fallout if any ever comes. (And, by fallout, I mean how angry my dad would/will be if he found/finds this blog... or someone tells him about it. I'm NOT asking you to keep it from him -- by ALL MEANS tell him, if that's what you want to do -- because, like I said before, I'm sick of all the lying, hiding, and deception. However, having known him my entire life... up to and including today... I'm also 100% certain that he'd never find it on his own.)
As for the rest of it... THIS blog (Zombie Talks) is still going to be about my life, doings, and family in general. The other stuff I'll save for the other blog(s).
